School of Sewing

We don’t have any products to show here right now.

Sewing is a joy and we want to spread it...

A sewing class for children aged 5-12.

Sewing is a great skill for children to learn, the hand eye coordination and fine motor skills it develops have been shown to benefit children’s literacy skills, not to mention the problem solving and maths skills it helps to develop. Our Little Buttons Workshops are run by a qualified teacher with experience of working with primary aged children. In each session children will work on a simple project with all materials supplied. Parents/carers are welcome to stay and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

In a nutshell...

  • Classes run monthly on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00pm and this term are on 1st February, 1st March and 5th April.

  • Individual Sessions are £10 each or you can book all three of our spring sessions for £25. discounts are also available for sibling bookings

  • Classes will be held in The Rookery, Faringdon.

Qualified teacher Lottie has been sewing for as long as she can remember, she completed a textiles degree before training as a textiles teacher and working primary school teacher as a textiles designer.

Lottie's main aim of all the workshops is to pass on her enjoyment and love of sewing. The classes therefore aim to be above all relaxed and enjoyable. Refreshments including a drink and biscuit and tea and coffee for the adults will be served, and all materials provided.
